When opening a pack in FIFA 21, you will know if you have boards down the sides if there is a little light on the left hand side. There are also more flares and sparkles.
You can also look to the end of the tunnel and if there are dark sections at the bottom this will mean that you have boards. Check out this image to see what I mean:
